About Me

Hello, I’m Er. Bimal Pokhrel — a dedicated Geomatics Engineer from Nepal with a strong passion for remote sensing, geospatial analytics, and environmental sustainability.

I completed my Bachelor's in Geomatics Engineering at Tribhuvan University (2018–2023) and hold a Category ‘A’ license from the Nepal Engineering Council. My work combines GIS, Earth Observation, and machine learning to support real-world problem solving in resource management, land cover change, and water quality.

I’ve published in peer-reviewed journals and was a finalist for the Esri India Young Scholar Award 2024. I also attended the GNSS Summer School 2024, expanding my skills in satellite navigation and positioning.

Currently, I work as a GIS Analyst at Mappers Nepal where I contribute to projects on urban planning, hazard mapping, and sustainable development. I also enjoy teaching surveying and geospatial methods to aspiring engineers.
